Stray Rescue was founded out of necessity in 1998 by Randy Grim, who single handedly began rescuing homeless and abused dogs off the streets because there were no other resources at the time to help them. This year, Stray Rescue officially took over management of St. Louis City Animal Care and Control.
On a personal level, our family wouldn’t be complete without Stray Rescue’s presence in the community – our youngest dog Taco was rescued by Stray Rescue and they provided unmatched support as he transitioned into his forever home with us.
